My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights on our 10day tour of Scotland. It was recommended to me through another local bed and breakfast that was fully booked - I am glad as we had a lovely stay at Bruach na Frithe.
Our room was huge, clean and comfortable, the breakfast was lovely and a perfect start to a day exploring Skye. The town centre was just a wee walk away and midge repellant was provided!!!
Our hosts enhanced our plans to explore the island with their local knowledge about places that we wouldn't otherwise have known.
We had a lovely stay, it is very good value or money and would definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

My husband and I stayed at Bruach na Frithe while we were in Scotland on our honeymoon. The B&B is located in their family home and they make you feel right at home from the minute you walk in the door. Its a great house and the rooms are spacious and clean. We had an ensuite which was great. The breakfast was wonderful and there was plenty of food. Bob & Norma were wonderful and were very helpful with local information.
I would recommend this B&B and will hopefully return someday. Isle of Skye is absolutely beautiful and this inn is located in a terrific location, approx. 1 mi from center of Portree.

I truly prefer staying in B&Bs because it gives one the chance to connect with the locals and get inside scoopes on what to see and do. Compared to all my other B&B experiences Bruach na Frithe is a first class experience and the host where very helpful and friendly. The breakfast were very delicious and served at the accustom hour of the morning as any other B&B on the Isle. I know some people try to compare B&Bs with a Hotel stay but a Hotel is more impersonal and about room service. B&Bs are all about the personal interaction with the other guest and host at the morning breakfast. We had delightful conversations with the other guests and our hosts. It was like we were all a family of travelers! Our room was great! We had a very comfortable bed and this was important to me because I was having back issue after our long flight from the USA.
The room had all the amenities one grows accustomed to expect, but the bathroom was very roomy! Big tub and great shower! I highly recommend this place. It is a very good price with friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating hosts. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to that truly lovely isle!
