Beautiful ambience, very clean, spacious kitchen, friendly hosts. The evening music was the icing on the cake. A very memorable stay.

We found this hostel by pure chance, after having spent the previous 2hours desperately looking for accommodation on the Isle of Skye ( extremely popular, as we found out!). We turned up with no reservation and were greeted by the super friendly owners, Brian and Lisa, who had just 3 beds left for us! The decoration has character, the rooms are neat and clean - and so are the bathrooms. There is also a big garden with a glass dome under which you can chill out, read a book and enjoy the warmth AND the breath-taking scenery. Cherry on the top: it was only £15 per person, ie. half the price of the average B&B in the region.

This is a great hostel with a brand new kitchen and great lawns/sunroom at the rear. Very friendly staff and clean rooms and some of the best shower/toilet areas you will EVER find in a hostel. Some top hotels could aspire to having such toilets. However there's not much to do, so if you want a bit of life in the area at night, better going to Portree maybe? Only one pub 5 mins walk away, which is manned by the grumpiest soul known to man. Not the hostel's fault of course! lol

Skyewalker is a fantastic hostel with everything you'd need for walking / scrambling in the Cuillins & conveniently located between walk starts at either Glenbrittle or the Sligachan ends. It was clean, well equipped & had fantastic showers which were really needed at the end of a hard days walk. The room we had for 2 people was spacious enous for our needs. Staff were polite, helpful (very, when we realised we'd not booked for enough nights), friendly & made us feel welcome. They were interested in why we had come to Skye & offered practical advice & assistance to make the stay even better (where to go, advance weather reports etc). Nothing was too much trouble & really couldn't fault our stay. If we can get back to Skye, we agreed we would definitely stay here again.
