I stayed in this hotel for one night last Wednesday, 27th July. The Kings Arms is average at best. The light fitting in the bathroom came loose and smashed to the floor, narrowly missing my partner's head and leaving shards of glass on the bathroom floor. Somebody came up to the room in a vain attempt to sort the fitting but it was left broken. We went out for food in the evening and I left my Sony Cybershot camera on the bed. Only when we were driving away from the hotel the next day did I realise I was without my camera. A return visit and 2 phone calls later and still no camera. Not only had I taken some lovely photo's of our trip to Scotland but there were many pictures of my 10 month old granddaughter since her birth - yet to be saved and printed. The camera can be replaced....the precious memories cannot. I suggest the management find out who was responsible for cleaning our bedroom (room 207) and employ domestic staff with a little more care in the future.
