The Atholl House Hotel, in the lovely village of Dunvegan was a great find. Run by Peggy Morrison, who made our stay perfect in every way. The hotel obviously has recently been refurbished and the standard of the rooms is very high. Along with the views from the dinning room and bar it was a great place to watch the sunset with a glass of wine in hand safe from the the midges. Would recommend as a great base to tour the island from, knowing that a warm welcome waits for you on your return from your days sightseeing. Full Highland breakfast every morning was a must.++++

This hotel is vastly over priced. We stayed at the hotel over easter and were in what was classed as a Superior King room. The only servicing of the room was someone coming in and pulling up the covers on the bed. The rubbish was not cleared from the bin, the towels were not changed etc. At the price paid I would have hoped for some local produce and nice toileties etc, not so - breakfast was morrisons home brand, toiletires was a tiny palmolive soap to last us the weekend and no sign of a biscuit or alike to have with tea/coffee. The room was small and the bathroom tiny. There was no space in the room to store anything other than hanging space for shirts only. There were no hangers to hang trousers on.

We have stayed at this hotel twice and each time it has been excellent.
The food is beautifully cooked and the menu is varied and interesting.
The bedrooms and spacious and the furnishings are of a very high standard. We have stayed at other hotels on the Isle of Skye but now we would never stay anywhere else. Friendly, warm and very personal attention at all times.

This small hotel is in the town of Dunvegan, on the far side of Skye from the bridge. We found the rooms to be comfortable, clean - everything was just fine. Breakfast was tasty and filling. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge/bar at the end of the day, reading and enjoying a cocktail. Although we did not eat at the restaurant, it looked quite good. The proprietor, John, was very helpful and gave us good advice about sightseeing, places to eat, etc. I would stay here again.
