“Cosy room, wonderful crofter cottage hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 June 2011

Booking at short notice, we were only able to stay 2 nights, wishing it could have been more. With cool weather, the skylight in our upstairs room provided some welcome late-May sun. Ian and Ann spent lots of time telling us about Skye, which was especially useful as one of our objectives was to locate the abode of 1850s ancestors. We also got advice on walking to the relevant deserted villages on the S coast. Two restaurants within a few hundred metres have very good seafood.

The upstairs bedroom in the remodeled crofters cottage had a sea view to the N, and was wonderfully cosy. We spent considerable time in the downstairs sitting room, well supplied with books about Skye, and lots of other books to while away the time we did not have on this short visit.

Room Tip: Both rooms have great sea views.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2011

Stayed one night but wish we stayed more. Immaculate, homey, great food. Very friendly people who gave us excellent recommendations for dinner andsight seeing.
Would definitely go there again if we were in thearea and would recommend it to others.

This guest house is very close to restaurants/shops in Broadford.

The owners were very welcoming and had a great knowledge of the local area which was much appreciated.

The twin room was well appointed and spacious as was the ensuite which had a shower and bath.

Breakfasts were excellent with a good choice of food on the menu.

“First Class Accommodation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 May 2011

We made our first visit to Skye and were very impressed by the welcome and accommodation we received. We booked the Berabhaigh based on the reviews and were not disappointed. Ann has 2 double rooms, both of equal standard and as we travelled with friends, the four of us were 'guests' for 3 nights. The personal attention to our needs far surpassed staying in a hotel. Ann and Ian took time to recommend restaurants, places we had to visit on Skye and were very good hosts. Beds were remade, rooms cleaned, bathroom tidied and towels replaced daily. In fact, sometimes we felt Ann gave herself unnecessary work, such was the standard she maintained. If you want peace & quiet to enjoy your trip to Skye, we recommend staying here. We also had use of a very comfortable guest lounge in the evenings for a relaxing glass of red wine after a hard day hiking. All in all we had a very enjoyable break on Skye.

Room Tip: Book early, as many travellers were turned away.

“Immaculately presented B & B - real value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 May 2011

My husband and I stayed one night in Berabhaigh - we just wish it was for longer! Anne and Ian were very welcoming and full of knowledge of the isle and places to visit. The bedroom was immaculate as was the en-suite, the views were fantastic also. The breakfast was superb - enough to last you the whole day!! You really do need to stay at least a few days on the Isle of Skye and a car is a must.
