The service was pleasantly personal and thoughtful. We had a very comfortable ground floor bedroom with a good size ensuite with large shower with all amenities. The hotel was very clean and very comfortably and beautifully furnished.
It had an excellent dining room downstairs and a most comfortable lounge upstairs overlooking a small hill where one could watch wild deer grazing. Binoculars are left for guest use to see the wildlife. There is a 'library on the first floor with desk-games for use and a computer for free use. There are 5 other bedrooms.
There was adequate car parking space level with the front entrance accessed by a 50 yard sloping drive. It was a little tricky turning left out of the drive on the road, due to the width of the road and sightline.
There was a good choice for breakfast, well cooked. One felt the portions were slightly quantity controlled, but more was available if requested.
Set-meals were available in the evening, were well cooked and well presented. but one did not know what the menu was until one returned later in the day. Again you could ask in the morning and find out if it had been decided by then. We thought they were a little expensive for a set meal at £35 per head, excluding wine.
The location was excellent for visiting local and the Mull beauty spots.
There is a good private Mull Wildlife Tour Company 500 yards down the road and there are boat tours to Staffa nearby.
