The hotel and breakfast couldn't be faulted. Residents' lounge on first floor give wonderful views over the surrounding countryside, large room, spotlessly clean but ...
... as we planned to be busy during the day, we felt that pre-booking dinner in the hotel would save a lot of hassle - which it did. Most of our 5 evenings, we were the only people having dinner. A minor issue was that the menu was set - no choices. Would have been nice to have been offered some choice, even if decision was required at breakfast. Didn't make much use of local sea-food specialities. Trying hard to be a French restaurant in the Scottish Islands - good but not quite good enough for price charged and too fussy. Cook obviously very talented but would perhaps do better focusing on more straightforward menus based around local ingredients?
