This was a great guesthouse - clean, spacious and with welcoming and friendly hosts. Every morning breakfast was cooked to perfection - I highly recommend the 'luxury' porridge with a hint of whiskey and cream! Our room was clean and comfortable, and on our second day we were surprised with a plate of homemade cake left for us in our tea-tray! The bathroom was large with showering products available for you to use, and had plenty of towels. I liked the fact the house had a study, as well as a lounge with a DVD collection, should the weather prove a bit too much. This was a considerate touch in my opinion, as not many places think about what you might do if it rains. There was also a lot of information available throughout the house on Mull and things to do in the area.

Tripadvisor's description is a bit misleading here as Killoran House is actualy about a 20 minute drive from Tobermory, and is closer to the village of Dervaig, which is a five minute drive away.

The bedroom is just as in the web: cute and sweet. Very tidy house. Champoo, bathing gel, etc. in the bathroom. Breakfast "á la carte". Tea/coffee facilities, chocolates, water in the bedroom. Good location. Anthony, a very nice and helphulf host. The B&B to be recommended.

We spent a weekend at Killoran House and I can't praise the place highly enough. The room and food were first class. The service was discrete, friendly and efficient. To cap it all we got the place all to ourselves!

It all added up to a truly fantastic experience. We'll definitely go again.

This guest house/hotel is quite unusual. There is a very large and comfortable guest lounge on the first floor with a large verandah and good views - not unusual to see a few deer on the hill opposite. A good place to sit for pre-dinner drinks or to read a book on a wet afternoon. The bedroom we had was a little small but it was comfortable and had a decent sized shower room. The dining room is spacious for the maximum of 12 guests. Breakfast was excellent, a good choice of hot and cold options all of top quality. My only negative comment is that dinner is a set menu and it is served at 1930 for everyone - it is aslo quite expensive. it was good quality but I would have preferred a choice for the evening meal. Would I go back to Killoran- yes - but I would book B&B for most nights and walk down to the local pub for dinner.
