My family booked the studio apartment in July 2010, which was in a separate building from the main house above a converted garage. The room can sleep up to 4 people but requires some effort to move the coffee table and arrange the sofa bed. That aside, the room was spacious enough for the 4 of us and everything in the room were top-notch, from the clean bathroom to the comfortable beds to the self-sufficient kitchenette. Gorgeous view of the gardens and the Sound of Mull as well! The only issue I had was that the floor creaked a little so it wasn't convenient walking around when someone else was already sleeping. Also, the wifi was very weak and we had problems connecting to the internet from the apartment.
I didn't get to meet Laura who runs the B&B but her mum gave us a warm welcome and showed us the swimming pool and ran us through the amenities in the kitchenette as well as the generous continental breakfast spread which was already all kept in our room refrigerator. She also kindly told us that we could use the swimming pool after 7pm as they didn't mind closing it a little later. It was a shame though, cos we were out till late and left early the next morning and didn't have a chance to use the swimming pool which looked really welcoming!
Sonas House is located on the hills above the main street of Tobermory and only a short walk or drive down, albeit a steep one, but this shouldn't put you off staying here! Truly a place I would highly recommended to all visiting Tobermory!
