Actually not true - we have been very fond of everything about Achnadrish since we first visited; it's just that we have not been able to visit for over a year and we missed it - a lot!! We were back again and it really was as if the previous visit was last week. Things have changed a little - the dogs are looking a little older with Zoe slightly decrepit now, the family are all a little older now and looking all the better for it!! The house is looking better for all the attention it has had. The future looks bright!
This is the one place that has become a permanent and very pleasurable part of out lives. We know it will come to an end one day - like all things in life - but in the meantime we will continue to enjoy it as much as we can.. Make sure you visit it as soon as you can. Achnadrish is fabulous no matter what the season - imagine yourself in the depths of winter in front of the large log/coal fire with the original wooden shutters closed against the dark and whatever rain, wind, snow or ice there may be - and then imagine waking up to find a surprisingly sunny day inviting you to more exploration of Mull and it's wildlife - there are times when Achnadrish is a fantasy realised!!
