“Under new ownership - very good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2007

Stayed as a family in August, M&D, with two youngish children. Did'nt
know what to expect based on other reports herebut we were very pleased. Leigh the new owner could not have been more helpful. The two garden rooms we had were beautifilly furnished. Breakfasts were delicious 10/10. It is not cheap in high season, but we felt we got what we paid for. The pub in the village also dos lovley food, but get there early in high season as they don't take bookings and the wiat can be loooong.

We stayed at this hotel over Easter and were extremely pleased we did. It was a friendly comfortable hotel. The owners couldnt have been more helpful and the Garden room effectively amounted to a two room suite for us and our children. They didnt even mind our Labrador. The food is one of the hotels best features and was all local produce beautifully cooked. We will stay there again when on Mull

Having stumbled on THIS (Tripadvisor) site whilst planning a trip for next year and, having spent 10 days at the Druimard in July 2004 I felt I really must say how wonderful the stay was. The weather was somewhat changeable during our stay but the warm and friendly attitude of the hosts more than made up for it. The highlight of the day was dinner, I have eaten in some of the finest hotels & restaurants in the world and have seldom eaten better... a quick browse through the guest book will let you know better than I what to expect... Thankyou Druimard !!

“Get away from it all”

Very peaceful, friendly host full of information about how to get around Mull and Iona, good breakfast. The restaurant has a strong reputation for dinner, but we never tried it: it's small and all we could hear the first night was the clinking of cutlery - any conversation was hushed because it would be heard by the whole place. Perhaps a little music would have eased the atmosphere. Most rooms are en-suite; we booked at short notice during the busiest part of the summer so had to settle for a bathroom that was private but separate. Nevertheless everything was very clean, well-appointed and of a high standard. As a retreat this place was excellent, while still being within a 20 minute drive of the main town, Tobermory. But hold off on the whisky: the road home is winding and single track, and it seems the local sheep have already had a dram or two.
