Restaurant staff especially Erica were very friendly and extremely helpful.Booked two rooms for a family visit and also business trip.1 room facing the port was very roomy,sadly I got the one facing the rear of guest house which was not so good.But overall an enjoyable stay.Clean with good en suite facilities.Good base for touring the surrounding country side.

hotel was fine, oldish, bit quirky but folk were nice. Unfortunately there was a problem where too much cash was taken off my credit card. This should have been easily and quickly sorted but it ended up taking over a month. As the time went by I was more and more convinced it wasn't a simple mistake. I also note a similar episode posted on here.

No complaints about our first ever stay at the Thorlee which is ideally situated for exploring Stornoway. Only 3 minutes from the bus station and a ten minute walk to the Heb Celt fest which was the purpose of our visit. Mein host Donald served up a sumptious, freshly cooked breakfast which would put many hotels to shame. Even mustered us up an evening meal on the Saturday of the Runrig festival when Stornoway was jumping and all eateries were bursting at the seams. Sunday morning continental breakfast was unusual in that it was delivered on a tray to our room at 5pm the night before but no quibbles at what was on offer. Room was clean, very comfortable and freshly decorated with all mod cons, flat screen TV, soft towels, ironing board and iron, nice biscuits and teas and coffees. Would have no hesitation in staying here again if we ever return to Stornoway.

Nice rooms clean, roomy and recently renovated. Ideal location in Stornoway close to harbour and town centre. Noisy on a Saturday night though.
Breakfasts in the adjoining cafe good with friendly, attentive service.
Be aware Stornoway on a Sunday practically shuts down and there is only a continental breakfast delivered to the room and the rooms are not cleaned. (No big deal for one day)
There is also no meet and great from anybody and keys are left in envelopes rather than any formal check in - but we didn't find this an issue.
