Although Visit Scotland brochure stated clearly The Park had "Free Parking on site" symbol, there is none. We had to either park outside on the busy main road or in the car park belonging to Hotel across the road. We arrived on a Monday and on enquiring the time for evening meals told restaurant not open on Mondays!!! Would have been useful to be informed before we arrived. Instead of having to find a place to eat in a strange town, fortunately we did and also went back the second night of our stay. Be warned the Saniflo toilet in the en-suite makes a strange loud noise!!

We stayed in Park Guest House in April 2009 and we would have no hesitation in recommending it. It is a Guest House and a good one NOT a five star hotel and people should keep that in mind. The room was good and spotless and we had a great meal in the Restaurant -- as good as we would get anywhere and we give credit where it is due and would have no hesitation in staying again.

I stayed in this guest house in January when i was up for business for 3 nights , When i arrived at the accomodation i was eventually greeted, and when i got my key said the room was upsatirs!!! The room itself was nice and basic, lovely bathroom although the towel rail never worked which added to the freezing conditions. The first night was so cold in the property i had a coat over me too and still was not warm in the slightest! I mentioned this at breakfast and to check the radiators that day. The breakfast was nice although limited choice with cereal and the cooked breakfast plates were stone cold meaning the food was only warm at best and on the third morning i received 2 items which was not reqested and 1 i did ask for i am still waiting for.

was recommended this place to stay by a collegue who stayed here many years ago, as the hotels were full...maybe he doesnt like me!!! The single room I got was up in the eves at the front of the guest house, it was absolutely tiny, and a bit grubby at the edges.
And it was really expensive, the shower room was nice, but there was no bath...I was really disappointed, but as I was only there one night I thought I would just put up with it.
Unfortunately the dinner was equally expensive and the steak was so overdone it was inedible, still I was offered no alternative dinner and still had to pay...
Advice is ... dont stay here find somewhere else on this lovely island
