“Very good B&B in village a few miles from Stornoway”

The proprietors were very welcoming and helpful. We had the upstairs bedroom, with a spacious private bathroom. The downstairs room, that my sister and husband had, was rather more cramped and had a small en-suite shower room, and was rather more dated than the room my wife and I enjoyed. Breakfasts were very good, with some choices. I would not hesitate to stay again, but would request the upstairs twin room!

Room Tip: The upstairs twin room with private bathroom was more spacious than the downstairs double bedded roo...

“Warm and welcoming B and B in a superb location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 June 2011

I stayed at Seaside Villa for 3 weeks while on a college placement and can recommend it as a warm, friendly establishment with good hearty breakfasts. My room was great- comfortable and clean and I had a huge bathroom all to myself! Margaret and Bill were so kind and helpful and I loved the view from the dining room looking out to the sea.
A few hundred metres from the B and B you can walk along a beautiful unspoilt beach - very relaxing!

Room Tip: I had the room up the stairs

“A fantastic stay! We'll be back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 June 2011

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Seaside Villa. Our hosts met us at the door with huge hugs for all. We felt like we were meeting long lost relatives. Our rooms were great! My elderly parents had a main floor room while my husband and I took the room upstairs. We all slept like babies. Our room was gorgeous! It had been cleverly decorated and boasted lovely antique furniture. Our bathroom was HUGE and very beautiful. I loved it. A special treat was the beautiful beach just across the road. Our hostess, Margaret, was very helpful with directions and suggestions for local attractions. She was also a terrific cook and fed us a full Scottish breakfast. We waddled away with full bellies and smiles on our faces, regretting only that we hadn't arranged to stay longer.

“A haven of Hebridean Hospitality at its very very best!”

This was a return trip to stay with Margaret and Bill Fraser at Seaside Villa. I am a registered tour guide and tour agent and travel throughout Scotland so I know quality accommodation when I find it. On my last visit Margaret taught me some more gaelic so I managed to order my fantastic breakfast in gaelic. Don't worry they speak English too!
The house is extremely comfortable, super showers, comfy beds and breakfast is filling and you can try local produce. There are local craft products if you wish to buy something to take home at extremely reasonable prices, hand knitted sweaters, harris tweed bags and brooches and some delightful small watercolours. The view from the breakfast room is over to the water and you can access the beach for a walk. Although there are televisions in the bedrooms there is also a welcoming lounge with big leather sofas and a larger television and if you want to meet the locals, Margaret and Bill are great company, full of local information and stories. It is much better to stay here than some impersonal hotel. I can't wait until my next visit. Enjoy! You will return again and again.

Room Tip: book early to avoid disappointment
