Just back from a lovely peaceful weekend - nothing to fault this wee gem. As long as you are not looking for entertainment - none, busy buzzy place - not, but just a place to chill - def. Food is very good both dinner and breakfast, rooms are comfortable & warm with nice touches like tea/coffee/biscuits, bottled water, dressing gowns, small sofa to relax and watch a pretty old tv (our only wee gripe). The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The weather was wild and stormy but so cosy inside. Turnberry is only a few minutes walk away and hotel looks onto the 7th green of Kintyre course, rooms at back look out over Maidens harbour to sea. We have stayed several times and never had a complaint. The hotel is part of a residential care home, hotel rooms are all upstairs, Cotters Restaurant serves food all day long so you can eat when you want basically. We cant wait to go back back again.
