“September wedding”

Our daughter and her fiance came from France to be married at Culzean Castle in September. We cannot begin to tell you just how delighted we were with the sheer professionalism shown by all the staff right from first contacting the castle until the final review of the wedding. The Round room made a very romantic setting for the ceremony, the dining room was perfect for the dinner, and the Georgian kitchen was idea for a ceilidh. The menus are extensive with something for all tastes and what a good idea to have a tasting session in advance of the big day. Everything was attended to with military precision with the addition of smiling faces from all the staff. We would thoroughly recommend Culzean Castle. If we had another daughter there would be nowhere else she would want to go to be married!

“A beautiful location, great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

Unbelievable accomodation in the Eisenhower suite. We went late September and literally had the place to ourselves. Despite the lack of other travelers, the service was superb...we had full kitchen and wait staff for breakfast and a dinner we had arranged for beforehand...dinner for two with our own staff, appetizers in the drawing room and fine dining in the dining room, all overlooking the North Atlantic, are you kidding me? The castle is a destination for sightseers, and when all the day traffic was gone, we had this massive and historic Castle and grounds to ourselves. The manager was more than accomodating and the accomodations were over the top wonderful. Location is great, on a cliff overlookiing the Atlantic and a short ride to Turnberry and all of Ayrshire. You won't be dissappointed.

Room Tip: The Ailsa Room was wonderful

“Brilliant!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 December 2011

My husband, my dear friend and I were at Culzean in December for the wedding of friends and what a magical place. Everything was amazing; the decor, the staff, the food, the arrangements...all perfect. We had the most wonderful afternoon an evening. I cant wait to come back! I'm trying to talk my husband into booking the Eisenhwer suite for our anniversary.
Thank you for a wonderful time!!!

“Winter wedding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

We got married at Culzean on 16th December. It was a truly magical day in what can only be described as a fairy tale setting. Firstly we'd like to say how wonderful the staff were. Billy and Eileen couldn't do enough for us. Coffee and tea was supplied as and when we wanted it and nothing was ever too much trouble. All done with a sincere smile and a genuine desire to keep us happy.
We stayed in the Eisenhower Suite which is absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious and all retain the easy vintage style and charm of a working castle.
I had a private dinner the night before the wedding and the food was fabulous. The service was just right allowing time for relaxed conversation.
The breakfast was also excellent with food cooked to order.
We would recommend Culzean to anyone looking for a wedding venue. She is set in amazing grounds and regardless of the weather retains a unique beauty that is timeless.

“Sublimely elegant with old fashioned values and the most attentive staff you could ask for.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011 via mobile

We were guests at the previously mentioned wedding and I do not recognise the description of this beautiful castle. It was an honour to stay in the Eisenhower apartments and to be part of it's history. The guest rooms are classical and comfortable - the only suite - which our bride and groom had - was stunning with a very quirky loo in the turret! We had free run of the whole top floor of the working castle - a lounge with so much history it was unbelievable and a comfortable tv room. An honesty bar made the whole place feel like home from home. The food was delicious and you could have exactly what you wanted - varying anything that was on the menu - and seconds on request. Everything was freshly cooked so you did have to wait - but with good company we didn't notice it. The bride and I had a private dinner the night before the wedding and it was worthy of any top class London restaurant, possibly better. But by far and away the thing which made the whole weekend a home away from home was Billy and Eileen. I will not insult them by calling them staff, they were friends. Nothing was too much bother and they managed to make us feel very special and important. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here if you want a magical experience and excellent service as it should be. Thank you, my friends.
