I stayed at the castle for my sons wedding. The wedding was in the Eisenhower wing and there seemed to be a shortage of chairs to sit on, lots of antique roped off chairs but non for actual use which is hard with a long day such as a wedding. We stayed in the Cairncross suite which is a double room and NOT a suite. The view was only visable through small round windows if you climbed on something and the window in the bedroom was painted shut. The furniture was very tired and shabby, the bathroom very small, in desperate need of refurbishment and the shower a trickle, very poor. No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms. The breakfast was awful, slow service, one rasher of bacon and an inedible sausage with cold toast, uck. Overall not an experience I would repeat or recommend to my worst enemy. Extremely expensive for very little facilities a RIP OFF
