Had a fantastic 3 course meal for 2. The food was fantastic, good size portions and a large menu with specials as well. The service was also very fast and friendly. At 23 GBP for 3 courses, its just fantastic value as well.

I have been always been a fan of Wildings, friendly, good service and good food. Reputation of food being salty - the olde trick in the trade - buy more drink!!!
Took friend as explained excellent, very dissapointed and let down- when orderd food asked for nothing to be salted.
Result -- everthing was over salted, even veg and chips were sea salt on it!!!!! Expressed my view of food salted - Answ: everything pre cooked and salt added , potato mash, sauce etc. Brought new dish to me, the same mash and sauce in dish ( the same - salty ) fresh lamb - ok, veg & chips salted!!!!!! Left dish, still had to pay for it... Left with terrible taste of salt in mouth and £40 down and hungry.
Are these people not in the hospitality trade to tailor to the customer needs.....

This was our third visit to Wildings with a group of friends.

The rooms are very large, well furnished and very clean. The beds are very supportive allowing a great nights sleep.

The restaurant is excellent value for money with great food, well prepared and presented. The diner service is very efficient and the staff are excellent.

The breakfast is freshly prepared with good wholesome ingredients and well presented.

The hotel location is excellent only a few meters from the Maidens seafront. The rooms at the front have magnificent views across the bay. Maidens is a small village with not a lot to offer other than walks along the sea/beach. Nearby there are championship golf courses for those interested.

Overall an excellent hotel with excellent staff and great value for money.

If you're not a golfer there isn't a great deal to do in the local area but Wildings is well worth a detour from the beaten track. The food is absolutely outstanding and the staff are always friendly, attentive and accommodating. In my view it is difficult to find a menu which offers better value for money. This has, on occasions, led me to make the 100+ miles round trip with my wife just for lunch. We do, however, more often than not, make a point of staying so that we can take advantage of the great dinner menu, excellent breakfasts and lunch before we head home.
