We stayed for one night and it was just superb. The meal was truly excellent, made from local ingredients and served in the dining room which was quiet and restful. The staff were efficient and attentive without being overly so. We will stay again and would recommend it to anybody

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, its romantic for couples and interesting for families or lone travellers. The decor is tasteful and often fascinating. I imagine children would love this place with its nooks and crannies and rocking horse on the landing. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms (which had baths!!!) were gleaming. Everything was great but the highlights were the library with spooky old family portraits and antique chaise lounge, the book collection in the lounge downstairs, the bleak but beautiful garden which wound down to a little quay and pebble beach. I will return to this hotel, one of the nicest I've ever stayed it. The one thing I would say is to pay that little bit more to eat in the restaurant rather than the bar in the evening.

We stayed for one night at Busta House for some peace and quiet. It is a really beautiful hotel with plenty of charm and character. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome and the service remained attentive and pleasant throughout. The meal was delicious and after dinner drinks in The Longroom were very enjoyable. Our room (Linga) was clean and the four-poster bed was exceptionally comfortable- so much so that we overslept for breakfast in the morning! Not a problem though as we had absolutely no hassle in having a great Scottish Breakfast delivered to our room! I would definitely return to Busta House and thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking to relax in the comfort of a charming and welcoming old house!

We were in the Papa Stour room which has beautiful views of Busta voe. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food in the resteraunt was excellent and all the staff were very friendly. The whole experience couldn't have been more relaxing. We've already booked to stay again.
