The view of the Dornoch Firth as you drive into the parking area is spectacular, my words were "oh wow!". Bill and Sue couldn't do enough for you, they were very friendly and helpful. The decor and facilities of the room and bathroom were great, couldn't ask for more. The breakfasts - plenty of choice and enjoyed each days. What more is there to say, you will love staying there.

Having stayed at many establishments whilst on motorcycle trips both throughout the British Isles and Europe our experience at the Golf View House is the best by far. Everything from the friendly welcome, the excellent room, the ideal location, exceptional breakfast (struggled to fasten the leathers afterwards), and the friendly send off got our weekend away to a great start.

Future tours of Scotland will be directed via Tain. This was our first stay but won't be our last. Just watch the gravel - "Gan canny and you'll be reet"

I have now stayed at the Golf View House on 7 occasions whilst on our annual golf pilgrimage to the Highlands. Bill and Sue are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much for them. The rooms are spotless with rooms 4 and 5 overlooking the Dornoch Firth, one hell of a view to wake up to.
The breakfasts are superb, plenty of choice and no need for lunch!.Perfectly situated on the edge of Tain, good eating at the Royal Hotel(5mins walk), great whisky tasting at the Glenmorangie Distillery. Only 15 minutes away you could eat at the Oystercatcher, probably the freshest seafood ever eaten and great value.
The only problem that I have is that my wife won`t let me return until next year!

Stayed at GVH on a golfing break for 3 days at the end of July 2011, arriving early evening, met warmly by Bill who without delay booked a table at the Royal Victoria (lovely !) so we did not miss out. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean, super breakfasts with pleasing individual choices - Sue's fruit compote divine. Lots of suggestions on things to do and even local golf discounts.
