Stayed here for a wekend break couldn't fault it. Arrived and were shown to room 14 a delightful cosy room spotlessy clean with view over the bay which was lovely,,,,the bathroom was big and the bath positioned perfectly for view out window across the bay... the bed was very comfortable with fresh white linen and big fluffy white towels. We ate all our meals over the weekend in the hotel just be warned dont eat before you arrive food got 10/10 fresh seafood was in abundance and cooked to perfection. Breakfast was eaten in the lovely breafast room where the waitress (10/10) attended to our every need nothing to much effort for her made us feel very welcome.. she was very friendly which we all commented on as that is what added to the plus points.Royal cooked breakfast was a great way to start the day especially the loacl black puding!Real coal fires were lovely in breakfast room lounge bar and sitting room.Dinner was eaten in the lounge bar which was cosy and the menu plenty of choice with more than ample portions the lobster so fresh and i recommend the beef also as it just melted in your mouth so tender. The hotel is perfectly situated on sea front right beside the harbour where you can depart for dolphin spotting trips.I would reccomend this hotel ...one thing i can say you would never be cold staying here! We will return to this hotel.

The customer service in this hotel could not be faulted. It was excellent from arrival to checking out. The owner was always busy, working the room in the bar and dining room and asking after guests elswhere. The staff seemed to take their lead from her and were very good. The evening meals were superb. The lamb fell off the bone, the lobster was fresh catch. The room (2) overlooking the harbour was of a decent size with excellent views of the Firth. The bar was very good with a large whisky selection and local real ales on tap. I had only a single fault and that was the sausages with breakfast were rather tasteless. Given the other food was just so good this hardly matters. We stayed three days and enjoyed every minute.

Booked this hotel last minute as I could not get one in Inverness and I have to say I was delighted with it.
The rooms although being a bit dated,were spotlessly clean and comfortable , and the hotel staff very friendly.
The meal I had was excellent,a lovely steak and the young waitress was helpful and friendly throughout.
The view from my bedroom window was out of this world,maybe slightly spoilt by the oil rigs lying up,but they did not take away the sight across the firth first thing in the morning.
All in all an excellent and friendly hotel and I will be back if I have to stay in the area again.

I have just returned from a weekend stay in The Royal Hotel in Cromarty on business. I stayed in Room 1A, which I can highly recommend. The decor, furniture and four poster bed made me feel like royalty and the view from the window took my breath away, looking over the shore. The en-suite was, modern clean, complete with toiletries and fluffy white towels, also giving you a great view of the shore line. After a very comfortable night’s sleep, I sampled the generous Scottish breakfast. That evening I enjoyed the company of the Cromarty locals and had some of the best seafood I have experienced, that had been caught that day in the local harbour. A fantastic hotel that offers a five star menu boasting lots of local fresh produce and customer service that cannot be faulted, especially from Jenny the manager, who was able to offer suggestions of things to do and see in the local area.
