Just back from 3 perfect nights. Spotless and homely accomodation matched with incredibly friendly hosts who couldn't do more to help. The rooms are excellent but Julie and Martin are the real stars. It is rare to find people so attentive yet simultaneously so relaxed and natural. The breakfast, the beautiful scenery around the house, the animal shapes Julie makes with the towels, the roaring fire, the tasty fruit, the sky tv, the packed lunches they gave us... it was all just wonderful. I see one previous reviewer only gave it a 'very good'...shame on you!

We absolutely loved this place - everything was fabulous and nothing too much trouble. The house and rooms are fantastic, we had the Burns room which has it's own lounge with a full Sky package, mini fridge, sofas, it was perfect. Gorgeous coffee and cakes were provided plus chocolates and goodies in the room. We didn't want to leave! We did a tour of Scotland and this was by far the best place we stayed. I asked my boyfriend where he wanted to go for our next holiday and he said "I just want to go back to The Old Masne!".

We recently stayed at the old manse for a few days and I dont think words can actually do justice to how wonderful and amazing the accomodation and owners are.
From the moment you arrive you are made to feel like old family friends coming for a visit, the house has a fantastic homely feel. The owners go well out of their way to make sure you have everything you need from booking meals, checking weather reports, advising places to visit and packing up a small rucksack with tea & cake ( which my husband loved). The room and sitting room (The Wallace room) was fantastic and warm, the whole place is done to a very high standard and no expense has been spared but it hasnt lost the "homely - Family" feel. The little touches each night on our return made it more special. The breakfast was always well cooked and perfect for a day out in the wilds of scotland. The wild deers roaming through the garden were amazing

I can not say enough positive things about this place and it owners. I would say that out of all the places we have visited there are very few we would return to but this is one

We recently enjoyed a fabulous 3 night stay at The Old Manse for our wedding anniversary. It is absolutely as superb as all the reviews say. Fantastic, roomy accommodation, with beautiful ensuite bedrooms and your own private living room -all to the very highest standard of comfort and cleanliness.
The welcome and attention to detail from Julie and Martin are what really sets this B & B miles apart from all the rest. Nothing is too much trouble and we really felt 'looked after'. There were so many nice touches, like a flask of tea and lovely home made cake prepared for us to take on a walk. The warm fire stoked up in our living room at night for our return after dinner, and so many others....but I dont want to spoil the surprise.
The breakfasts are wonderful too.
We hope to return soon. Its just fabulous.
