We stayed here during the October half term 2011 with 4 children (2 being toddlers).

The hotel is wonderful and so are the staff! This is an extremely child friendly hotel and their main restaurant more than caters for them with a fantastic children's menu".......food that an adult would be pleased to eat!

The staff can't do enough for you here, they answer many of your questions about the local area and the food is fantastic."...... To coin someone else's phrase 'loving the Lovat'.

We will definitely return here.......maybe without the children this time :-))

We decided to have a week's holiday at the Lovat to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary .Many thanks to Caroline and her team, who made our stay most enjoyable. In particular to Fiona, who was very friendly and pleasant during meal times . We would also like to thank Neil for providing an excellent service and in particular his rendition on Burns Night. This night will be remembered by us for many years to come and the food was amazing.

The staff went out of their way to make our anniversary day memorable by decorating our room and we thank Julia for her role in this lovely surprise.

We would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to seeing you all very soon.

This is how we felt after our 24 hours at The Lovat. Our studio room was modern, bright and wonderfully warm with a fantastic wet room but the real highlight of this hotel for us was the food. Good vegetarian food is not easy to find - imaginative vegetarian food that is perfectly cooked and beautifully presented is even more rare - The Lovat provided all 3. There were two dishes that we haven't seen anywhere else that really stood out; vegetarian haggis cannelloni and a dessert intriguingly called carrot, carrot, carrot – a good recommendation by our waitress which was a great surprise and showcases the creativity and skill of the chef at The Lovat. All of the staff with whom we spoke were friendly, hospitable and professional and the handmade cookies we were given on departure meant that we could take a wee bit of The Lovat home - another attentive detail that will ensure a return visit. Hope you enjoy finding the others out for yourself.

The service here was exceptional - the receptionist even got up early to make sure we had some breakfast before our drive home. Really great stay. Try out the restaurant too - the food was delicious.
