“Absolutely charming”

Very nice room, decorated with taste, and good, quiet, practical location. Copious Scottish breakfast with many options (I especially appreciated the fresh grapefruit and very good porridge). Cosy pubs around to have dinner at a walking distance. Close to the main road, but with footpaths, river and field nearby. Be careful not to step on the cute little frogs on the road!

Liz could not have been more welcoming and helpful! Our room was wonderful and immaculately clean and welcoming. Woodlands location is ideal for activities in or near Drumnadrochit and Loch Ness. We had a wonderful time!

“Nice B&B in a beautiful part of Scotland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 July 2010

We stayed at this B&B in early July for only 1 night.
It's only about 10 minute to walk to the main street in East Lewiston with a couple of restaurants, pubs and the tourist info office.
The room was upstairs and was about average sized with comfortable bed and nicely furnished.
The TV is a small flat screen, with only 3 stations but the Wi-Fi connection, which is included, was very fast, There was an interesting window in our room which was like a sky light that opens and has a good light block out.
The bathroom was also about average size and was functional.
Liz, who runs this B&B, was very helpful and a good hostess.
Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
I would stay here again.

Pictures are attached.
Happy traveling.

“A hidden highland gem in a quiet village between Loch Ness and the hills.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 June 2010

Liz provides not only a warm welcome, but a quiet, comfortable, immaculate place to come back to after a day in the hills. Add to that the superb breakfast that she serves every day, and the modern fixtures in the rooms, and the convenient location to restaurants and other town attractions, and this B&B tucked into a quiet village surrounded by green hills is a hidden gem, all a B&B should be, but rarely is.
As a 20-year traveler in the highlands of Scotland, I would recommend the Woodlands Guest House to anyone who wants a truly lovely place to stay, a place that is a reflection of the caring approach of its hostess Liz.

“Stay here, Beautiful Place and Great staff, Thanks Liz!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 August 2009

We only stayed one night, but wish we had allowed for more time. We definatley would have like to stay here longer. Everything about The woodlands guest house was amazing. The room, bathroom, the building, the staff and the breakfast was by far the best out of anywhere we stayed. Thanks for making our trip to Drumnadrochit memorable and comfortable Liz,
Thanks,
Bill and Kerri Loucks
