We stayed at the Hotel end of January before our flight out the following morning. Having had stayed at The Glynhill last summer, we decided to book again for our Winter break. Hotel was not at all busy, but our room was the size of a shoe box, looking out onto a flat roof and someone elses room to the rear of the hotel. Room ok for what we needed it for, but nothing compared to the room we had last year. Booked an early morning transfer, taxi picked us up, which we had to pay ourselves, part of the booking was free transfer to airport!! As it was a Sunday, it was only bar meals or the carvery, chose the carvery, it was ok, but as we went in at a quiet time, some meats were over cooked, dry & burnt to a crisp. Didnt have breakfast, as we left earl doors, but you could order contintel for your room. Only gripe really being about the staff, lady on reception was pleasant enough, but didn't tell us anything about the Hotel. Barman kept doing a dissapearing act, so guests were waiting at the Bar for ages. 3 men ordered food after9 and it seemed to be a problem, when the food eventually came, the chips were missing, but he went to the bar to serve other customers, before going back to the kitchen to get the rest of the order. Duty manager was the real problem, we past this man at least 6 times through the night, not once did he even break a smile, thought it was us, but having witnessed him, having to serve the bar as the bartender had went awol again, he was unfriendly and rude to 3 different customers, all whom tried to make conversation with him, it was embarassing to be honest. Customer Service.... Nil points!!!!!
