We arrived for our New Year break and were greeted by very friendly staff. The room we had was very comfortable.and probably the best view of the Loch - awesome!!We have to say the food is of a very high standard and lots of little extra's too.Excellent service in the restaurant with all staff very professional .We felt very comfortable and able to relax. We are thinking of going back later this year just to see the Loch in the summer.Thankyou for a wonderful stay
Alan and Kath from Penrith

Room Tip: Obviously the rooms over looking Loch Earn are the best for the views,But you can still see the Loch...

"WOW...Lots of little extras"…..Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a glowing review and I am delighted that you enjoyed your Hogmanay Break, it was good to see the hotel full of guests wanting to celebrate with us. Good times to revisit are early summer, and then of course the colours in the fall can be truly spectacular. See you soon

“Absolutely loved it...a benchmark for a relaxing break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

We wanted a change from house parties at new year and I was a bit unsure what to expect. St Fillans is very quaint but nothing to do. I prefer Killin as a place to stay but wish I could move this hotel there:
Staff - we have a 10 & 7 year old and even though there was not many kids they made them very welcome....it seemed like a personal touch we got and they could not do enough for us from the Stefan & Peter the chefs, Lynn & crew serving us and Chris the barman. This made our break.
Accomodation - We had Chalet 1, right across from the rear door and was a Beatles lodge though they are all the same. Couldn't get parked outside it but not a major issue. Very 70's but clean and a cosy feel...though when it was freezing outside we needed the blankets at night (not an issue)
Food - This was a lesson..Patridge, Pigeon, Venison, Monkfish.....and they also provided bangers and mash for wife which was alos perfect. I spoke to all the guests and they all loved the food.

Overall - Might even consider again next new year but i'd go back as a couple in summer when I could use the loch more or bag a couple of monroes. Thoroughly recommend this hotel to chill out (this is there goal) and enjoy some nice food (and highland hospitality). Go for it

Room Tip: Never seen the rooms but looked nice in pictures, Chalets were brill though for added privacy...they...

Many thanks for such a complimentary feedback, and delighted to hear that you enjoyed your Hogmanay with us. Also great that the Game on the menus hit the spot, one is never too sure. Also thank you for the feedback on the hardworking Team. When the Munros beckon, do remember us, otherwise see at Hogmanay

Fantastic location. The hotels looks over Loch Earn with panoramic views of the snow covered hills. The room was spacious and comfortable but some general maintainance would be beneficial, esp double glazing. Staff were very friendly and the food was lovely, although we didn't eat in the dining room, only the Bistro. Downside, we had no tv for the entire time of our visit due to the high winds and if you have a pet allergy don't stay here as it's a pet friendly hotel.

Room Tip: Pay for an upgrade to get a Loch view, well worth it.

“Fantastic location” ....................................
Thank you for your constructive feedback. All our windows are replaced with double glazed units. Sorry about the tv, and yes we very much welcome pets, and anyone who lets us know of such relevant allergies are told. Thank you again for your positive feedback

Room 11 has a beautiful view but does need updating. The windows are in poor condition unfortunately and the bathroom has a hideous plastic blind for a shower screen.

Room Tip: A view of the loch is a must at this hotel!

“has a beautiful view”................................

Thank your for your comments. I think the shower roller blinds (not plastic) are a great idea, a couple of pulls and they disappear ceiling wards so that you can enjoy our lovely old fashioned oversize bath. We do have a room with shower only if that suits for you next stay. Thank you again.

“Fun time with friends”

We had dinner, bed and breakfast at the Four Seasons meeting up with friends we hadn't seen for ages. You can't beat the location and we loved standing on the jetty watching the ever changing skies, the hills and beautiful loch. The cabins are quirky and have a certain 70s feel. If you're a Beatles fan, you can choose the ones they stayed in. We were intrigued by the chain hanging from the ceiling of the second bedroom.... Later found out it's to set up the bunks!

Dinner was wonderful as was breakfast. The most amazing and decadent porridge I've ever had involving double cream and Drambuie. Yum! The staff were extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. My friend really appreciated being able to bring her dog too.

“decadent porridge double cream and drambuie“, a staple Scottish diet; Delighted you appreciated and enjoyed our quirks, along with the food and friendliness. Thank you for taking the time to give such positive feedback
