We wanted a change from house parties at new year and I was a bit unsure what to expect. St Fillans is very quaint but nothing to do. I prefer Killin as a place to stay but wish I could move this hotel there:
Staff - we have a 10 & 7 year old and even though there was not many kids they made them very welcome....it seemed like a personal touch we got and they could not do enough for us from the Stefan & Peter the chefs, Lynn & crew serving us and Chris the barman. This made our break.
Accomodation - We had Chalet 1, right across from the rear door and was a Beatles lodge though they are all the same. Couldn't get parked outside it but not a major issue. Very 70's but clean and a cosy feel...though when it was freezing outside we needed the blankets at night (not an issue)
Food - This was a lesson..Patridge, Pigeon, Venison, Monkfish.....and they also provided bangers and mash for wife which was alos perfect. I spoke to all the guests and they all loved the food.
Overall - Might even consider again next new year but i'd go back as a couple in summer when I could use the loch more or bag a couple of monroes. Thoroughly recommend this hotel to chill out (this is there goal) and enjoy some nice food (and highland hospitality). Go for it
Room Tip: Never seen the rooms but looked nice in pictures, Chalets were brill though for added privacy...they...

Many thanks for such a complimentary feedback, and delighted to hear that you enjoyed your Hogmanay with us. Also great that the Game on the menus hit the spot, one is never too sure. Also thank you for the feedback on the hardworking Team. When the Munros beckon, do remember us, otherwise see at Hogmanay
