Loch Monzievaird certainly does not disappoint, we have been going for many years now and always look forward to going back again. Log cabins really are first class, spotlessly clean and well equipped. We had our dog with us and she loved the walks around the loch and the many other walks in the area.

We stayed at Loch Monzievaird for a long weekend in one of the pine lodges at the end of November this year, (2011). We could not have expected how relaxing and well equipped the lodge turned out to be! My wife, 3 year old son and myself had such a great relaxing, cosy, comfortable holiday.
We've stayed at other self-catering lodges, parks etc... and can honestly say Loch Monzievaird lodges beat the others hands down. It may not have all the activities on site like other venues, but there's plenty to do within a short drive. A huge book and folder is left in the cabin which gives information on lots of things to do locally and further a field if you're staying longer than a weekend. The lodge was very cosy, we were worried it would be chilly in the lodge but the heating was excellent especially the under floor heating in the bathroom! Everything you need and more is provided, although we had a sauna in our lodge we didn't use it as we found relaxing with a cuppa looking out the window across the loch was relaxing enough.
We did find that the pictures on the website didn't reflect on how nice the cabins actually are.
I'd highly recommend the cabins to anyone who wants to have a relaxing break away.

Went up to Loch Monzievaird for weekend escape. Only away two nights but afforded a total battery recharge. Weather can never be bad there. Glorious. Swans, geese, heron, mist, frost, sunshine, peace, walks, warmth, trees. Can't wait to go back.

This was our first stay and we cant wait to go back! The cabin was spotless, cosy and warm and was so well equipped it was a proper home from home. We received a lovely welcome and got excellent service from reception whenever we had a query, otherwise we were left in privacy. Its a beautiful setting with lovely walks and fantastic wildlife all nearby. We wanted to escape for a week and we loved every day we were there. Its a great base for exploring the surrounding area. You know its good when both the 13 and 9 year old want to return! Highly recommended.
