We arrived to a very warm greeting at about 6.30pm. After being shown the breakfast room and the reading room (where the were plenty of games and DVDs to borrow) we were taken to our room. The room was beautifully made up with big fluffy towels, home made cake, fudge and tea/coffee/hot chocolate making facilities. There was a brand new TV/DVD player which you could also insert your iPod into and use as a player for any stored movies! The bathroom, whilst pink, was spotless with small shampoo/conditioner/vanity/shower cap sets. There was a good size bath tub with a great power shower. There was even an electric heater for if it was too cold!
Breakfast the next morning can only be described as excellent. You order your breakfast the day before and specify your time. The owner came and offered us tea/coffee within a minute of our arrival and about 10 minutes later, a perfectly cooked breakfast arrived. I opted for the table spread and toast which had a choice of approx 6 cereal types, 3 sorts of yoghurt, fruit juice, fresh fruit (inc. melon, pineapple and berries), jams and prunes. My partner on the other hand feasted on haggis, eggs (perfectly cooked), bacon, saussage, black pudding, potato cake and toast, followed by yoghurt and muesli. He said it was the "best breakfast he had had away from home, ever".
We stayed for two nights and the second evening/morning was equally good. I would most definately recommend this B&B to anyone...
