I recently stayed here on a business trip to the area. The hotel staff were pleasant enough and although there was an issue with my room on arrival they quickly sorted it out. The room was ok, no real issues with the decor, but nothing outstanding either. The corridors would benefit from a lick of paint and the carpet needed a good vacuum! It was unforunate we stayed here out of season; the blackboard outside the hotel promised real ales on tap but we were told these weren't available due to seasonality. Breakfast was fine, with a small selection of cereals and full Scottish cooked to order. Be aware; the boiler does have a tendency to blow out and a cold shower on the morning of my departure was a rather disappointing end to an overall average stay.
