My partner and I stayed at the hotel on wednesday 8th-10th feb 2012 as our daughter bought two nights via group on. Peter was very friendless and nothing was any trouble to him. The atmosphere within the hotel was good and all areas were warm. We stayed in the family room which was room 12. On arrival we were told the tv in the single room needed tuned in( don't think this is an acceptable excuse). First impresion of the room was ok but when we took a closer look there were many minor repairs which should be address in the near future e.g plug chains broke in the sink and bath, mould round the bath, when u pulled the toilet plug the toilet seat fell down!!!! Splatters of fluor of some sort across the wall o the left of the tv. The bedding was lean but the mattress coul be doing with being reviewed in the near future. I ran the bath for my partner but he didn't check the temp before putting his leg into the bath. He scaulded his foot and the skin came off! Attending the GP for treatment for it to prevent infection. I know he should have double checked the temp but the water should never have been this hot!!! I suggest peter puts a notice up telling guests that the water can beextremely HOT! After all that there wasn't any hot water for a shower the next morning. I thong there might be a problem with the boiler- so glad my son never put his leg into this water as it would have been tragic!!

I bought a Groupon Voucher for myself and my husbands anniversary for the Weem Hotel we really enjoyed our stay, not sure where the comments have come from which state grubby carpets and down at heel as this was far from our experience and I have stayed in many hotels up and down the country. Peter made us feel welcome from the off, nothing was too much trouble, the food was amazing...go for the steak. We stayed two nights and met some lovely people, we sat in the small lounge on comfy sofa's with a roaring log fire, the music and atmosphere was so relaxing you really felt like you had a break. The staff are fab, and again nothing was too much trouble, please dont take too much notice of negative comments, I would recommend this hotel, some people pay for a 3 star hotel and expect 5 star treatment! It's lovely, friendly, cosy and clean, what more could you want!

We got a groupon voucher from our daughter for the Weem hotel, Peter and his staff at the hotel are so welcoming!!Nothing is a problem, they want you to enjoy your stay and will always accomodate your needs!
We had a beautiful meal on the Saturday night, my steak was wonderful thank you to the chef for doing it as it was not on the menu that night!! The meals were so well presented and was so good, loved the cullen skink soup!! Our room was bright and very clean and we had wine and chocolates in our room so nice! We met a lovely couple there and had a few wee drinks into the early hours!!lol. fantastic company and wonderful people who own it!!! would certainly go back!!!!

Forget the professionally written blurb - I'm in agreement with the other people who found this to be a disappointment. Down at heel, grubby carpets in the hall and in the room and very much in need of some paintwork overall. No formal welcome....just filled in a form, got the key and directions to the room. Had to ask when breakfast was served (9am-10am!), had to ask to get the TV in the room fixed. Lock on door worked - but could be pushed open with a none too hard shove. Staff were all pretty uninvolved and altogether unprofessional in their approach. I certainly won't be coming back here....not unless there's a change of management. Hate to think what overseas visitors will make of Scotland if this is where they wind up.
