Ideal place to stay, lovely home, welcoming and comfortable. Very enjoyable.

lovely host, great location, everything we wanted we had.well cooked breakfast, comfortable room.loads of info about the local area, and Patti allow us to borrow for the day. (saves us buying maps) We walked Ben Lawes,Bircks of Aberfeldy.Highland Safari is a must for anybody interested in the great outdoors.and great mountain bike trails.
You won't be dissapointed if you stay here.

Brae House is gorgeous - even lovelier than as depicted in the site photos.
The rooms are spacious yet cosy. It goes without saying that the place is spotless, with tasteful furniture and fixtures. The bed is great too.

Owner Patti Walker-Booth has a talented eye for detail which is evident in the comfy sitting corner with its sofas and coverlets, beautiful books and maps on Scotland as well as the excellent collection of DVD’s - all just in case the weather forces you indoors. Breakfast was also particularly well executed.

On our first evening, arriving late, Patti suggested we “chill out” with some pate, wine and a DVD in our rooms. She supplied the glasses etc. Great idea! We definitely would have stayed longer if plans had permitted and hope to return one day.

My only criticism is actually with the Scottish tourist board who have given Brae House its maximum of 4 stars. This is really an inadequate description when compared to other 4 stars we encountered which barely came close in comparison. Why don’t they give it 5 stars?

What I always look when I book a room in a B&B is feeling like at home, and get more into the country than you can get in a conventional hotel. That is exactly what you get at Brae House. This is a really good home away from home. You instantly feel comfortable, and want to stay there more time than you can. There are some details, such as the bathrobe or the films you have there to watch, that I have not found in other places.
