We stayed in this hotel about two miles outside Pierowall on Westray for one night as a family of five (3 adults, two children) occupying two rooms. The family room was enormous, and easily fitted the four of us; the double room was smaller but still extremely spacious. Both rooms had bathtubs, which at this stage of our trip were very welcome, and the towels were huge, white and fluffy.
The television was on its last legs and hummed annoyingly, the shower fittings were very dated, and everything was just a little bit tired, but these are minor complaints I raise only because of the 4 star rating. If you're watching TV in Westray you're probably not making the best use of your time.
We ate out (dinner at "Jack's Chippy" - ask a local, they'll tell you), mainly because two youngish children and a rather smart dining room are not a good combination for any other guests. Breakfast was nice and freshly prepared to order. The bar provided local bottled beers but was a bit of a man's world.
Overall I'd recommend it was a place to stay on this very special island, good but not exceptional.
