Lindisfarne is only a short way out of Stromness with good views over it and out to the hills on Hoy. The rooms are spacious and the welcome warm. (Walls between rooms are a bit thin so that noise does percolate through, but not to the extent of being a great problem). Stromness is a good location for West Mainland. Good breakfast and overall a good value location

We've been in Stromness last week, on our (far too short) trip to scotland.
We really loved this B&B we booked from Italy!
Our room was big and clean with a huge king size double bed and an amazing view on the fields. The bathroom was lovely and clean.
Mr and Mrs. Worthington really nice and great hosts (Mr. Worthington even lent us a binocular, which we found very useful on our day adound the orkneys).
We had our breakfast sitting by a big table with other people, in a dining room overlooking stromness harbour. Amazing!
Really really loved the place. If we happen to go back to the Orkneys, we'll surely stay at Lindisfarne again!!!

Stayed in the Lindisfarne self catering cottage last July for a week and it was the best experience I've had of self catering anywhere! Mr & Mrs Worthington couldn't do enough to please us during our stay and there was not one thing that wasn't provided in the accommodation - from coffee maker to salt in the cupboards....I'd rate this place at first class - so much so that we're booked to go back again this year.

Stayed at Lindisfarne, just outside Stromness, for a long weekend. Hosts very friendly and helpful (even gave us a lift into town for a night out, to save us driving). Bedrooms all ensuite, very clean, with usual facilities (tea and coffee, etc). Lounge available on first floor for guests, with TV, books and plenty of tourist info. Only minor criticism would be that bedrooms were slightly chilly, but the fact that all beds had electric blankets more than made up for that! Would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Orkney.
