We can't praise this B&B enough, from the welcome from Colin & June, to the cleanliness and the location, also breakfast first class! Superb views over to Holy Isle and the peace and quiet of Lamlash.

We stayed at Lilybank for two nights and it was a very pleasant stay......but......there were some issues that need to be mentioned. Firstly, the bathroom did not have enough shelving/ledges to put a soapbag. We had to put ours on the toilet or floor, which was not satisfactory. There was clearly enough wall space to fit more shelving.
The second issue, was the bed. I woke up at least 3 times a night with a raging backache due to a relatively thinnish mattress. The bed was clean though and there was extra bedding if you needed it. The room was of a good size and had amazing views. But, the room was in need of a 'revamp' with the painting/decorating. It looked a bit tired.
The breakfast was lovely, but there was a definite lack of conversation. It was a matter of going in, ordering, eating and leaving. There was no two-way banter at all.
Colin, did however, make us very welcome and gave us a guided tour and also helped with our luggage.
There is adequate parking at the rear, but the access is a little tight, so be careful when entering the driveway. Give yourself plenty of room to 'swing' in.
I would give Lilybank a good 3 stars.

My husband and I recently stayed at Lilybank with 2 friends. Colin and June were very attentive hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were wonderful, the accommodation was very comfortable and clean with much attention to detail including being offered the use of a fridge, iron and board and drying room if needed. We were really made to feel at home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This was a last minute booking for my 86 year old mother and myself and we loved every minute of it. The place was spotless, breakfast great, the welcome and attention faultless and the view spectacular. We even had hot sunny weather. Having travelled all over the world, this place is hard to beat and so close to home.
