A cosy bar with open fire. Choice of 3 ales most nights and the cheapest found on the island. Good selection of no nonsense pub food including veggie options. Staff friendly and helpful especially the landlord. Ideal venue for a pint and food after a long hike.

My wife and I stay here every year at Easter and always find the rooms nice and clean with great views. I can't comment on the breakfasts as it's a meal I haven't had since the late 1970s but the evening meals are fabulous - exactly what's required after a day of walking and a great selection. We'll be back for many more years.

We stayed here with our one year old son. It was a really friendly place with excellent service and a good range of local beers and pub food. Our room was clean and comfortable and it was a great location, a short walk to the rest of Brodick and within walking distance of the ferry.
There was something on each night, live music, pub quiz, disco etc and our only gripe was that it was very noisy when staying with a baby. Maybe a room at the back of the hotel would be better.
A great place to stay for couples who are looking for some nightlife on Arran or those with older children but we will probably avoid returning until our son is older.
