Very comfortable room.
Staff were really cheery, friendly and helpful.
Great breakfast.
Food during day was excellent.with good range to select from on the menu in the 2 restaurants and bar.
Could not expect better for the price.

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, it was with trepidation I went to the McLaren Hotel, Brodick. I am now convinced they must have been for another hotel!!!!

The staff were warm and friendly from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The food was excellent, with a variety of daily specials that ranged from mince and tatties to venison with Stornaway black pudding, in addition to their standard menu .

The hotel is only 10 minutes walk from the Ferry and is centrally placed for easy access to the shops etc. There is a bus stop outside the gate, making access to the rest of the island as simple as it could possibly be!

The rooms, although a bit tired, were clean and spacious, with all the facilities you would expect from a hotel. Our rooms were at the front of the hotel, were quiet and had great views over the water to Brodick Castle.

All in all, I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel, returning there in the future, commending the staff on their friendly, professional approach and applauding the owners for providing an excellent experience at a very affordable price

Spent 3 days in this hotel. Wasn't expecting much due to the price but my god what a dump. Rooms are extremely basic. Had a meal on the first night in the restaurant. Tall dark haired English girl serving was possibly the rudest waitress i've had the displeasure of being served by. Looked totally depressed and kept yawning. Food was ok. Wont be back.

Myself and my friend stayed here for five days and had a fantastic time. I have no idea where those other people stayed who gave this wonderfull hotel such a poor review. The rooms were adequate the food was amazing and the staff could not be any more helpful. I will be definetly back and have already recommended this great hotel to all of my friends.
