We had an enjoyable pre-dinner drink in very comfortable surroundings in the Duchess of Hamilton lounge. enjoyed by the log fire, just what the doctor ordered on a wet Jan evening.
Dinner consisted of a superb choice of starters of which we sampled the Halibut. Main course was a dish of two different ways of cooking the Venison, simply devine. Veg was crispy and tasty, Arran mash is so good we must find another name for them! Our choice to have the trio of desserts served on a slate was just the crowning of a great dinner. Staff was very helpfull and friendly and the atmosphere in 1869 was so enjoyable!
