We stayed for three nights in September 2011. This was the best B& B we stayed in our month long trip. Duncan and Camilla welcomed us like old family friends. Beautifully decorated, spacious bedrooms. The breakfasts were plentiful and gourmet. The loungeroom was very welcoming with the fireplace lit every night and big comfy lounge chairs. Guests would all gather here and we met some lovely people and had some wonderful conversations. We would walk into town for dinner each night and enjoyed the Stag Inn with friendly staff and live music over the weekend. Falkland is a quaint little village and even has its own castle which we were able to tour and attended Mass in the Palace Chapel. It was the ideal base to visit St Andrews and a day trip to Edinburgh. Duncan was full of tips and information and also gave us directions to travel the scenic route to Inverness which we would have missed otherwise. Our girls enjoyed jumping on the trampoline and playing with Duncan & Camilla's gorgeous children. This made the stay very special and memorable for our girls. We spent the night at Ladywell in September 2011 we hadn't booked and arrived quite late at night. Duncan made us feel really welcome. The room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. There wasn't a televison in the room but we found this to be a big plus as it made for a more homely comfortable time. The actual village is gorgeous with Falkland palace only a little way from ladywell. Breakfast was the highlight as we have never had a cooked breakfast in that style - I wont spoil the surprise but it was very very good. Highly recommended. - Alice & Mike

This was our second visit and it did not dissapoint. Duncan welcomed us on our arrival and even helped to unpack the car. The bedrooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. The lounge had a real fire which Duncan had lit for us, and it felt very relaxing to sit in there and chat. No television to watch was actually a refreshing relief. Duncan's breakfasts are freshly prepared and far superior to the 'normal' B&B offering. Will definitely visit again

We spent one night at this B&B when we were unable to find accommodations in St Andrews because of "Golf Week", and were happy we did. The house is beautiful, nicely located on a hill a few minutes walk outside the lovely town of Falkland. Our room was very nice with a comfy bed, nice pastoral view and large luxurious bathroom. There is a beautiful sitting room for guests to relax in. Duncan, our host, was quite engaging and talkative and gave us good advice on restaurants and sightseeing ideas. Breakfast the next morning was one of the best we had on our vacation and served in a beautiful glass conservatory.
Our only complaint was that it was cold (end of September), the heater never came on in our room and there was no space heater provided.
