The whole experience oozed quality. A solid sandstone double fronted villa with tasteful decor and quality furnishings and fittings. Immaculate throughout. Very friendly welcome. My 8 year old son and I had a fresh, bright twin room with spacious en-suite facilities. Breakfast was served around a large oval rich wooden table. There was the usual range of cereals and grapefruit but the mixed fresh stawberries and raspberries were a real treat. My son enjoyed his traditional cooked breakfast, but I opted for the smoked salmon and scrambled egg which was perfectly cooked. I was only disappointed that we could not stay for longer than the 1 night we had booked. Will definately go back. Does not accept credit cards. Recommend a visit to The Falkirk Wheel while in the area - it is fascinating.
