Stayed at Ducks for 4 nights while working in Haddington, the room was clean and warm, the food and beer were amazing.

But most of all the staff and owner, Malcolm were very friendly and made my stay away from home easier.

My husband, father-in-law and vegetarian son and I enjoyed our meal on 27th December. We found it very hard to choose from the extensive menu presented, as everything sounded delightful.
We really enjoyed the choices we eventually made, and enjoyed a relaxed, unrushed meal in pleasant surroundings with friendly staff.
My son was thrilled with his vegetarian meal, so often the veggie option is mediochre, but here it was superb. Desserts were lovely too, and the presentation was first class.
We found Duck's by accident, on our journey from Nottingham to Edinburgh, but next time will plan to return.

After an enjoyable round of golf down in windswept Gullane today, we decided to have a late lunch at Donalds Bistro (part of the Ducks Hotel) on our way back to Edinburgh. Great food (clean plates all round!!) and made us feel very welcome. Pretty wide selection to choose from on the bistro menu and definately a few other choices that I'd like to try the next time I'm down in East Lothian.

My husband and I had a delicious pub lunch at the Ducks this weekend. The food was great, portions just right, and the beer was good too. They have just installed TVs in the lounge area, but this doesn't impinge on other diners. They also now have a choice of menus from lights bites, through bar meals to full a la carte, so something to please everyone!

Nice atmosphere too, will be back soon!
