Charming historic building. Great spacious rooms and bathrooms. Nice touches eg homemade fudge and cookies in room, well stocked toiletries, including plenty of extras in case you've forgotten deodorant etc. Excellent breakfasts- loads of choice. 5 mins walk to beach. Our stay here was so lovely and relaxing it was like therapy from busy city life.

We have just spent a lovely weekend in Charmouth staying at Abbots House. A truly delightful and historic place to stay with charming, attentive and personal service from the owners. Our room was extremely comfortable and beautifully appointed with a spacious and luxurious bathroom in which to relax and unwind. The breakfast is delicious. A great place to stay to explore the famous fossil beach at Charmouth and only 10 minutes from Lyme Regis with its many interesting shops and restaurants and the fascinating museum and the famous Cobb which gives lovely views of the Jurassic coast on a sunny and calm day. Highly recommended and fantastic value.

A lovely little hotel, very intimate and quiet - ideal for couples. The room was beautifully furnished and equipped to meet our every need. The bed was really comfortable - lovely mattress and duvet and the roll top bath gives a real luxury feel. The breakfast was beautifully cooked too. Worth paying more than the average hotel,

My husband and I stayed here whilst on a trip to an evening at river cottage - another evening to be recommended too !
The hotel was beautiful - only 3 rooms however, the breakfast was beautifully tasty and well presented, the decor was really tasteful, it was peaceful, quiet and relaxing.
There were some lovely "special finishing touches" and I would recommend it to a couple who wanted a to say somewhere nice for a treat !
