“Friendly, efficient, excellent food”

Just spent a wonderful New Year's break here. The staff at this family run hotel were friendly and very responsive to people's needs. We were staying half-board and the quality and presentation of the food was excellent throughout. Ignore earlier comments about 'tired-looking' rooms; there has obviously been a period of refurbishment and everything was fine. We had specifically asked for a superior room with sea view, which was spacious and comfortable. And of course the location is superb. Get those walking boots on.

Room Tip: Ask for superior room with sea view

“Very nice experience!”

My girfriend and I booked a weekend here and have to say we really liked this hotel. It's in a great location and the whole experience was very nice. Book with confidence.

We were greated by a very warm staff, and throughout our stay, they ALL were focused on making a stay as nice as it could be. They went out of their way to treat us as a welcomed guest. Rooms were good, not high end luxury but very comfortable and extremely clean. Everything was as it should be. There was plenty of parking in their car park.

The food was EXCELLENT! We ate in their restaurant (not the pub part) Friday night and both my partner and I thought it was better than most fancy london restaurants (seriously). I host customer all over the city and it was better. I had a delicious steak and she had the pork. Both were very well prepared, and the staff made us feel very welcome. And the starters and dessert were perfect too. Breakfast also was excellent, you can tell this hotel has taken pride and does not skimp on the food.

It's a short 7 minute walk down to the beach (no sand) and close located to other villages and towns close by.

We would return again without hesitation and were very pleased with our stay.

“Beautiful location,pleasant hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

We spent a weekend at the Eype's Mouth Country Hotel and really enjoyed the experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided information about walks in the area and we spent a few pleasant hours rambling along the cliffs and through pastures. The only meal we ate in the hotel was breakfast but it was plentiful and delicious. The room was nice and the view from the window was lovely. Wish I could have stayed longer and explored more of the area. The countryside is beautiful.

“great location! Great breakfasts!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

Stayed at Eypes Mouth hotel for a birthday treat. And what a treat! Such a lovely location and a bright and airy room (10) with sea and country views. We were the only people in the dining room, which was shame, as the food was good, but other guests opted for the bar meals. I would recommend the breakfasts! A great place to stay for walking the coastal path!

Room Tip: try room 10. Two windows both with good views.

“a lovely place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

We booked this hotel for a weekend break and found it was excellent. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and bright. We had a lovely view from our room across the farmland to the cliff walk in the distance. The food here is very good. There is a pleasant traditional bar and nice outside area for sunny days/evenings. Its just a short walk down the lane to the sea and you can take the cliff walk from here to West Bay and Bridport or Seaton.
