My partner and I had our Civil Partnership ceromony at Millbrook in December 2011. Millbrook was the first venue we visited and once we had seen it we knew it was right and didn't look anywhere else. Bob, Kate and Linda were all so helpful from the first contact through to our wedding weekend. We stayed in Lakeview which was just perfect, rose petals on the bed and floor as we went in made it very special.

Linda greeted us on the Friday when we arrived and went through the plans for the next day and left us in know doubt they knew exactly what they were doing.

The hot tub in the woods is a must especially the package with Champagne. Nothing was too much trouble and I don't think we have ever experienced such good customer care.

We got married in the Summer House which was decorated for us and the log fire made the event even more special. We chose not to have any guests and thanks goes to Linda and Mandy who were our witnesses and also to Kate for taking such wonderful photographs.

Leisa from www.devoncatering.com provided food for us on two nights which was excellent and we really appriciated the extra touches.

The memories of our wedding and Millbrook will stay with us for ever and we couldn't have chosen a better venue.

In the whole eight years my husband and I have been together we've never stayed at the same place twice (even though we've very much enjoyed most of the holidays we've been on) as we like trying new places and different types of accommodation. When we decided to take a last minute, much needed, weekend break for my birthday this January we both felt like we needed somewhere we knew we'd be able to relax, unwind and not worry that the accomodation and setting might not be up to scratch. We decided, this once, we would go somewhere we'd already stayed and since we'd had such a lovely Christmas at Millbrook in 2010, we booked it up and hoped that we wouldn't find it all a bit too familiar for our liking. We needn't have worried. It's such a peaceful environment, it was exactly what we needed. There's so much to see and do that we felt like it was a completely new experience from before. We loved rowing the boat, using the jacuzzi and summerhouse and we really, really enjoyed sitting in the brass swing type thingy watching the stars (no light pollution!) with our mugs of mulled wine. Bliss. I really would recommend it if you want to get away from it all and enjoy some peace and quiet. Thanks so much Kate and Bob - who knows, we may even be back for a third visit?!!!

We stayed in Pulley Mill to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. It was the most perfect setting! The whole site is beautiful, peaceful and romantic. We could see the gorgeous alpacas from our window and enjoyed meeting them up close when we walked around the grounds.

Pulley Mill is a wonderful little hideyhole. Snuggly and romantic with the most comfortable bed and a fantastic jacuzzi bath! There is such great attention to detail - lovely pictures on the wall, lovely perfume to try, wonderful little teddies & ornaments in the bedroom. I didn't want to leave!

We hired the hot tub in the woods, which was magical! (no extra fee for the hot tub, you just have to reserve your time in a book). You can bring in your own cds and there are even cup holders for your bubbly glasses!

We will definitely be coming back.

What a fantastic place, we had a great time despite the rubbish weather! Will definately return and would highly recommend!
