“Fantastic Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Where to begin, the warm & friendly greeting set the tone for the whole weekend. Everything was just right, from the comfy beds & spotlessly clean room, the afternoon tea in front of the fire through to the fabulous breakfast in the sun room.
Lynette & Adam were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome. they thought of everything, even warming our walking boots by the Aga overnight.
We cant wait to visit again and would have no hesitation in recommending Beechwood at all, in fact we already have recommended it to family & friends.

“A warm welcome awaits you”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

Having returned from a previous visit 4 years previously, we found Beechwood's new owners to be most welcoming and attentive keeping up the tradition of the previous couple. We had a superb cream tea on arrival and canapes and mulled wine before our evening entertainment just down the road. With 8 Adults to accommodate we found the rooms very clean, comfortable and warm. Our breakfast was amazing taken in the dining room at the large table, cooked to perfection. With no ties upon return time in the evening we were free to enjoy our activities! In a fabulous setting on Dartmoor, you cannot fail to enjoy the beauty of the countryside from this lovely location. With walks onto the Moor just a short distance away you can completely get away from it all! Adam & Lynette are just the nicest people and couldn't do enough for us. This place comes highly recommended!

Room Tip: Room 4 is the largest with an ensuite suitable for a family. Room 3 is a very cosy double with ensu...

“A homely B&B with lovely owners.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

A return visit to Beechwood for us and the new owners are keeping up the standards previously set. We had a comfortable double room with adjacent bathroom. Breakfast was taken in the attractive new conservatory which has a pleasant view of the garden, pond and squirrels. The cooked breakfast was lovely and the owners provide a friendly service.
We have no hesitation in recommending Beechwood.

“Delightful setting, comfortable b&b”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

A perfect setting in the middle of Dartmoor, with good access to east Cornwall and west Devon. Beechwood is a beautiful property, and our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was generous, and we particularly liked the flexibility of not being tied to a particular time ('just turn up anytme between 8 and 8.45'); nor did we have to decide the evening before what we would like for breakfast - another plus. Lovely to be offered tea and cake on arrival, and Lynnette was friendly and helpful throughout.
Only niggles: the shower was VERY weak and there was some mould visible in the bathroom. Also, if something goes wrong (eg no water or electricity, which happened to us one morning), try knocking a bit off the bill - we'd be even more understanding then.

“Great port in a storm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2011

No storm, but we hadn't booked any accommodation and were incredibly lucky to get into Beechwood B&B. We 3 singles got 2 reasonably-priced twin rooms in their own alcove with shared bathroom for our exclusive use. Rooms were well-appointed, very clean, and breakfast was a wide choice of freshly-cooked ingredients, including fabulous fresh eggs from their own chickens. Hosts Adam and Lyn were really friendly and helpful. As Postbridge lies at the centre of Dartmoor this will be our B&B of choice for all future stays in the region.
