Arrived at Wall Park for a 5 night stay and from the onset was made to feel really really welcome both at security gate and at the reception. It was so delightful after a long journey. Our chalet was a basic one but with the facilites it offered I would have been happy in less than basic chalet! It had a nice bath not just shower a bath! and a small kitchen. The views were great looking out to the coast. Beds were really comfy too. There is a table and chairs provided in the chalet ideal for the family to play aboard game on! Even if he weather is unsettled the chalet was a perfect place to relax. But of course there is the entertainment complex. This provides a tastey fast food outlet and arcade games. The ball room or entetainment room is large, no problem finding a seat here. You can even buy beer in a large jug, it was just like being at the October fest in Munich! Entertainment is good although some acts were quite late at night, and on the first night we were too tired. The shop sells almost everything you need, ideal if you want a meal with wine to relax in your chalet!
The next day we walked into Brixham but I must say the location of the camp is not good, its in a rather complicated residential estate and on the way back we got lost ending up in Churston in the river Dart. It was quite late when we got back and we missed the Bingo. Bring a map I would advise! But the swimming pool was nice partly indoors and partly outdoors, just like you would have abroad. By the way always bring a towel because there arn't any around the pool. One day I left my shower gel behind by the pool and a chap shouted and then sprinted right across the camp to return it to me. We spend most afternoons relaxing around the pool, or in the Queen Vic.
The other tourists are a rather really a good cheeful crowd and we made many new freinds here.
The camp is nicley laid out smart chalets surrounded by grass and shrubs gives the place a nice feel. But sadly all good things come to an end and we had to go home. We got the train back, it was 8 coaches long! And when we got off at our destination, we saw that chap siting on the train who returned my shower gel, Now thats a coincidence.
