“Out of this world, want to return!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 March 2009

Arrived at Wall Park for a 5 night stay and from the onset was made to feel really really welcome both at security gate and at the reception. It was so delightful after a long journey. Our chalet was a basic one but with the facilites it offered I would have been happy in less than basic chalet! It had a nice bath not just shower a bath! and a small kitchen. The views were great looking out to the coast. Beds were really comfy too. There is a table and chairs provided in the chalet ideal for the family to play aboard game on! Even if he weather is unsettled the chalet was a perfect place to relax. But of course there is the entertainment complex. This provides a tastey fast food outlet and arcade games. The ball room or entetainment room is large, no problem finding a seat here. You can even buy beer in a large jug, it was just like being at the October fest in Munich! Entertainment is good although some acts were quite late at night, and on the first night we were too tired. The shop sells almost everything you need, ideal if you want a meal with wine to relax in your chalet!
The next day we walked into Brixham but I must say the location of the camp is not good, its in a rather complicated residential estate and on the way back we got lost ending up in Churston in the river Dart. It was quite late when we got back and we missed the Bingo. Bring a map I would advise! But the swimming pool was nice partly indoors and partly outdoors, just like you would have abroad. By the way always bring a towel because there arn't any around the pool. One day I left my shower gel behind by the pool and a chap shouted and then sprinted right across the camp to return it to me. We spend most afternoons relaxing around the pool, or in the Queen Vic.
The other tourists are a rather really a good cheeful crowd and we made many new freinds here.
The camp is nicley laid out smart chalets surrounded by grass and shrubs gives the place a nice feel. But sadly all good things come to an end and we had to go home. We got the train back, it was 8 coaches long! And when we got off at our destination, we saw that chap siting on the train who returned my shower gel, Now thats a coincidence.

“Fantastic park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 March 2009

I and my children have been to wall park 3 years running and are curently booking for this years holiday. from day 1 we were made to feel welcome, my kids loved the entertainment, from bingo to comedy. although we have been through sun holidays we are paying the full price this year as we feel its well worth every penny. got to know loads of returning holiday makers and the staff who remember me every year. great fun and although not a fancy hotel its always my first choice

“very friendly security staff”

we stayed at wall park in august, the chalet we were allocated was very clean, it was a bit cramped for 4 adults and 2 children, but we didnt mind we were just relieved that it as clean after reading the horrible reviews before we went. the security staff were very friendly, we arrived about 3pm and were given the keys almost straight away, as the weather was fab, we went out most days, the club was a bit expensive and the entertainment was ok, went on until about midnight, the only critism i have is that the rooms wernt very big especially when there are 4 adults, and 2 children. we would definately go back there

  • Liked — very close to allthe amenities

“Fantastic Value for Money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2008

We booked our bank holiday weekend through the Sun and had a fantastic time. Chalet was much better than we expected. Initially driving on to the site it is beautiful with well tended flower beds and security on the gate checked our paperwork and sent us on to Reception to check in which was a breeze. Having to park in a car park and walk to the chalet makes it so much nicer for the kids to play right outside and not a hindrance at all having to walk a few extra feet with your luggage! We only managed to get to the Club for one evening's entertainment as there was so much else to do, but we all thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment, Bingo had a twist and the Blues Brothers tribute was fantastic. All the reps were really enjoying themselves and it was very infectious. Not much choice of food within the Club itself, but probably what most people would expect, burgers etc. Swimming pool was on the small side and the exit of the water chute is in very shallow water so beware. But again it was all very clean and the ladies showers were lovely. Location itself is fantastic with so many beautiful places to visit, the harbour is beautiful with lots of places to eat. For a day out I would thoroughly recommend Fishcombe Cove although a very very very steep climb down and up, it is well worth a visit with a cafe & toilet on hand. So please do not be put off if you have booked to go as we were really concerned after having read several reviews which made it sound awful. We would definitely return to Wall Park in the future.

  • Liked — Proximity to loads of different places to visit
  • Disliked — Lack of choice of food in entertainment complex
