“Super Service!”

We stayed at Sea Tang because of it's proximity to the wedding we were invited to at the Berry Head Hotel. It was a gem of a find, and we were really happy with the room. I didn't take any photos of the room, but it has been redecorated beautifully since the previous photos shown. We were in room 6 which was at the top of the stairs. It was a good size, with a wonderful sea view over the harbour. There were countless little touches, with bottled water, shower gel, cotton wool pads, etc. We had a large flat screen TV, touch sensitive bedside lights, and a comfortable bed.

The landlady gave us a friendly welcome, and was helpful to all members of our group. Breakfast was well done, with great coffee, and we were given a vegetarian breakfast, as requested.

We managed to park on the road outside (there were 5 or 6 spaces directly outside) but we were also offered a pass to use in the nearby carpark. I would readily recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to explore Brixham, or who is attending a function at the hotel nearby - both are an easy walk.

“SMALL BUT PERFECTLY FORMED -A LITTLE GEM !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2009

My father and I booked 2 x single rooms at the Sea Tang. On arrival we were lucky enough to bag a parking space slap bang outside the hotel - a real bonus since the road leading up from the harbour is very narrow, with lots of double yellow lines, so parking is at a premium. ( The landlady provides you with a permit to the municipal car park further up the road once you have booked in, if you need it ) Having climbed the steps to the entrance we were )shown up a few more flights of steep stairs ( not the easiest thing in the world for my father at 82, but manageable ) We were happy with our rooms. Although compact, tiny even, they were absolutely spotless and with the most spectacular views over Brixham harbour !The beds were 4 foot wide, which was a bonus and the rooms catered for every need including a well stocked hospitality tray, with tea /coffee /hot chocolate /milk/ biscuits / bottled water/ kettle/ mug/glasses , not to mention a mini fridge ! The en-suite shower room was superb -stocked with everything from cotton buds to shower gel and all points in between. Oodles of hot water at all times. Breakfasts in the cosy dining room were an experience - you could choose whatever you wanted, at least 5 different sorts of ceral for starters. Then there were the cooked breakfsts -the Full English would keep you going for days ! Everything best quality and served piping hot.
The landlady was very friendly and helpful and I don't think she'd missed a single thing in terms of making sure her guests had a comfortable stay.
Brixham itself is charming little resort, with plenty of restaurants /cafes and shops etc. The pub down the road from Sea Tang is really quaint, with a resident parrot !
As we were in Brixham to attend a wedding we only had 2 nights at Sea Tang but would give it full marks and would happily return !

“Quintessential English B&B”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2008

Quintessential 1950's English B&B, tiny rooms, stairs and stairs then more stairs. A Landlady in fluffy slippers and apron, cheerful and friendly but not to be trifled with, it was a time warp. An experience, but not a comfortable or relaxing stay. The room was tiny and three floors up very steep stairs, the view of the marina was nice, the bed comfortable, the heating some what lacking, the bathroom a cupboard with a long wait for the hot water to make it all the way to the top. Breakfast was hot and ample although plain. The timing of breakfast was ridiculous 8.30 to 9am only, such a narrow time-frame and no flexibility. There were even two flights of stairs up to the front door, parking outside is next to impossible, although the landlady will provide a coupon to park at the council carpark just down the road. You can walk into town along the marina front in just a few minutes

“Great place. Merci”

We booked 2 twin rooms in may 2008. Both had a wonderful view over the harbour and were spotless. Bathrooms are not very big but this seems to be usual as most bathrooms in B&Bs we stayed in England were on the rather small size.
Breafast was perfect with a large choice of food.
Marvellous owners. If you are interested by modelling this is the place to go: Judith's husband is a champion!
Again "merci from Bordeaux"
