Easy to find Hotel, newly refurbished room in very good taste and very comfortable and very clean
Great to have a bath although my man missed his power shower, but with that the only complaint , not really a complaint. Breakfast very good and not rushed.
Evening meals were great value and a fair choice.

We spent one night here with our grandson and found it to be a lovely place. The staff were so helpful and friendly, and the room (recently refurbished) was lovely and clean. Breakfast was good, and we ate in the bar at night (again, good).

If you are in this area, then it is a good place to stay!

Stayed for a weekend in early October. Derek is a very welcoming host and all staff are very friendly and helpful.The recently refurbished accomodation is lovely with good sized rooms and nice touches such as bottles of water. Breakfasts were excellent and the food in the restaurant very good. The chef is very accomplished with a good variety of locally sourced produce. The bar area has a nice mix of locals and visitors and a good selection of beer and wines are available. Bigbury on Sea is only a five minute drive or forty minute walk. We will cerainly be using the Royal Oak when we next visit the area.

It was our first trip to Devon for a long weekend of surfing. We were pleasantly surprised by the Royal Oak Inn. The rooms were newly refurbished and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Special thanks to Derek who made the best English Breakfasts we have ever had. I highly recommend this accommodation and of course the food (also had 3 dinners....delicious, advisable to book table in advance as they fill up quickly)
