This hotel is a nice quiet place with magnificent facilities of gym and spa and a hairdresser should you want to treat yourself ladies. We had a room with a balcony and I found the hotel to be really intimate and cosy. Staff all round were wonderful and made you feel extremely comfortable. Really enjoyed this hotel as well as the room service we had. Thanks and will visit again.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a balcony these I believe are very nice. I can imagine in the summer how wonderfu...

“A GREAT GETAWAY WITH RESERVATION”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

Generally a well appointed hotel with adequately furnished and equipped room, if on the smallish side, in what seemed to be a spur off the main building. We had a 2nd floor room with a view overlooking a play area (the main lake being to the right hand side by the main bar/bistro).
We spent several evenings sitting out on the terrace of the bistro/bar and enjoyed good quality evening meals there although the range offered was limited. We found the main restaurant expensive and it failed to meet our expectations for quality (so we didnt return there). We were disappointed with the breakfast self-service arrangements and felt that they compared much less favourably in terms of quality to other hotels we had stayed in.
The principal disadvantage we found was that the hotel was situated towards the centre of Guernsey and we had long walks to get anywhere else.
We didnt care much for St. Peter Port as it had the aura of most seaside places and was over used - unsurprisingly of course as its the main centre. We did find the old cliff top military battery nearby interesting and worth a visit.
Decent beaches are on the other side away from the town and the hotel and I was singularly disappointed at the lack of a more rural environment as the place seems to be one of an endless 'ribbon' of buildings along the roadside.
However, I did get the best wholemeal crab sandwich I have had in many a long year in Cobo Bay which rather made it the best thing that happened to me on the island!
It was a peaceful place but I do not think we would stay there again as there must be better places in better locations.

Room Tip: Ideal for rest in a quiet and secluded location but not if you want to get out and about the island...

“Suits Us”

Stayed here a number of times and love it. The buffet breakfast offers a vast choice-healthy and not so healthy, and the Health Spa is at your disposal to work off those extra calories. We found the hotel restaurants a bit pricey,so ate at local pubs in the evening,or there is a chinese and fish bar literally 2 minutes away.Hotel has ample parking, and is only a few minutes from anywhere on the island, and has a bus stop outside the gate.
Rooms are well furnished, the staff are friendly.
There are usually good offers to be found for this hotel,if you have a special occasion whilst there, they will go the extra mile....we got bubbly and flowers for an anniversary, our friends got a free upgrade to a suite when they stayed for their honeymoon.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the lake and you get a balcony too

“Lovely hotel, shame about the food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

I took my fiancee to St. Pierre Park hotel just for one night as a treat and we had a lovely stay. The room was very nice, massive bed and great views looking over the garden. The staff were very attentive and helpful and we enjoyed the spa facilities. The only downside was the food as we went half board, which is good value for money considering their prices. The starter was very disappointing and they really struggled to cook our spinach for our mains, we had to send it back twice! Many of the tables around us were also complaining about their meals which didn't make for a great atmosohere. The food really lets this beautiful hotel down.

“Very restful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

We enjoyed a May Bank holiday on the lovely island of Guernsey. We stayed at the St Pierre Park which overall was very good. Its only real drawback is that it is somewhat outside the centre of St Peter Port, but it has many facilities on site that more than make up for this. The mini-golf, pool and jacuzzi made up for the walk to and from the centre of the capital. We arrived a little early and the receptionist seemed able to cope, even though our rooms were not quite ready. Food in the restaurant promised much but sadly delivered little of that promise and as there are many excellent restaurants in St Peter Port we would suggest trying elsewhere.
