Recently spent a week at Green Acres & had a very relaxing holiday. The room was clean & light. The bathroom could do with a makeover but it was very clean & spacious. The food was excellent and the staff in the restaurant were very attentive & friendly without being intrusive. They clearly enjoyed their jobs and were always cheerful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Jane was a very good manager & they all took a pride in their work. The lounge was very comfortable & we made use of the available games. A computer is available for guests to use. Car parking is plentiful. A very good place for chilling out. I will certainly be back in the future.

On arrival at Green Acres we were given a warm welcome by the reception staff and promptly shown to our room. Our en-suite bedroom was spotlessly clean with comfortable beds but was in need of some redecoration. A coat of paint, new wallpaper and bed linen could improve the appearance of the room immensely.

The breakfast buffet was excellent - the best we have had whilst staying in Guernsey. It consisted of a range of fruit juices, cereals, ham, cheese, croissants, grapefruit, prunes and various other choices. The main breakfast menu had a full English breakfast, smoked haddock and poached egg, kippers and several other options. The food was always of the highest standard and the waiting staff were extremely efficient and helpful and clearly enjoyed doing their jobs.

Green Acres has a lovely well kept garden with a swimming pool and sun beds spread around the lawn areas as well as a nice sunny patio with tables and chairs where one can eat bar meals if they wish.

We would highly recommend Green Acres to couples wanting a quiet holiday (no children under 13 accepted) in a peaceful area. Although we hired a car the Hotel is within walking distance of St Martins Village and the main bus routes.

Pretty when approaching but disapoints once inside. Very tired interior giving this hotel a scruffy appearance.

Staff are friendly and helpful and breakfast was good bur one gets the impression that the whole thing is being run by a 1970's Laura Asley fan. So this step back in time may appeal to some but not me! The pool area is pleasant though.

Some distance from the town (cab £6.50) and a good 10 mins walk to the bus stop.

My mother and I stayed here for 5 days. We had our car with us and found Green Acres to be superbly positioned for touring the island. The staff are all friendly and without exception seemed to enjoy their jobs and took pride in making sure nothing was too much trouble. The hotel seemed popular with middle-aged couples and many , like us enjoyed the fact that you could eat in the bar or on the terrace by the pool, the restaurant or out in a restaurant somewhere. The bar menu was excellent and very varied and we checked out the restaurant 4 course menu each day to help us decide where to eat that evening. Little touches like the ongoing jigsaw puzzle and the selection of games available in the lounge would have been popular outside of high season. Our bedroom was big enough and had character. I would say that if you prefer fully tiled bathrooms as in a chain you may find it like staying in someone else's home. No problems with the cleanliness though. I would definitely go back there!
