My wife and I, mid sixties, spent five days here in October 2011. It lived up to its positive reviews well. A warm welcome, pleasantly furnished and clean twin-room, plenty of storage. TV a bit temperamental with its 'digibox' but befriendable. Staff most obliging. Breakfast excellent, nicely cooked and served ( the full-English quite a challenge). Dinner superb every night (cheaper if pre-booked by phone), 4-courses plus coffee. We happily skipped lunches when out. A welcoming lounge much used by guests. One drawback - it's not easy to find. But the Guernsey people were so helpful in directing us there. Car essential really. We would happily return and recommend to retired couples seeking a good room, good fare and pleasant company. We booked through Condor Ferries and had an excellent deal.
