We stayed for 4 nights 20th-24th January for my wifes 30th birthday and were treated like royalty for the entirety of our stay. On arrival we were told that we had been upgraded to the suite (Pascali room 14) and were overjoyed to discover what an amazing room this was, with its 4 windows, lounge area, fireplace, huge tv, dining table and huge bathroom. The interiors of the rest of the hotel were equally impressive with a fantastic blend of period and modern features, accented with the most luxurious furnishings and roaring fires. Beyond the beauty of the building, the professionalism and understated approach of the staff meant that we never felt under pressure, yet there was always someone on hand for anything we wanted, even if just a chat! All of the staff appeared genuinely pleased to help.
We have stayed on Jersey several times in the past, and always in peak summer season, however travelling at this time of year meant that the island was much more peaceful, and the mild climate meant that the temperature never dropped below 10 or 11 degrees. As a general rule Jersey seems to be two months ahead of UK in terms of climate, it felt quite springlike and daffodils were in flower. If you are like us and enjoy walking (recommend Jersey Jaunts by John le Dain), it is a fascinating time of year to visit and offers you a completely different perspective to the long warm summers.
Our thanks to all of the staff at the Longueville Manor for making this special occasion an extra-special occasion.
