I stayed at the Hotel on Saturday 29th October and it only cost £26 for B&B.
My room was a single room with a good sized bathroom and "walk in shower".
The standard of decoration was ok and fairly modern - especially bearing in mind the price.
I also got a bus from the Airport and walked down to the hotel - less than 15 min walk through the tunnel and your virtually there.
I did not use the Bar or restaurant so am unable to comment on those facilities.
Breakfast was fine a good continental selection plus a cooked breakfast.
There was a little bit of noise at night but nothing excessive.
For £26 it was a steal !!
Traveled to and from Glasgow with easyJet and both flights were ahead of schedule. Got the airport bus to st Helier (£1.70) bus station and from there to hotel by taxi (£4.50) saving a bit if I had got a taxi from the airport. Hotel check-in was effortless and instead of the broom closet single room I was expecting got a double bed and a really nice spotless bathroom. As the hotel only does B&B (breakfast was fine, all the cold dishes buffet style and the hot meal waiter service) had to eat out at night but the Tennerfest was on in selected restuarants. Set meals from £10 to £17.50 for 2 to 3 courses from 1st October to 12th November Check out the price and menus as displayed in the windows, take your pick and in you go knowing you won't get ripped off. As for Jersey get a bus timetable from the modern bus station and choose your journey remembering to check your return as its a winter timetable and buses are not so frequent as in the summer. All in all a week was long enough but in October a long weekend would have been sufficient
Stayed for a week and on the positive side the room was always clean although having a busy pub over the road and an air conditioning unit outside the window meant that a restful nights sleep was not easy. The all male staff were a wee bit on the intimidating side ( the black t-shirts didn't help). Breakfast was a bit on the chaotic side with no clear system and when it did finally arrive it was often cold. Reception more often than not empty. Car park was a nightmare far to small and difficult to get out of. Cheap but certainly not cheerful.
Lived in the Hotel de Normandie for nine months from November 2010 to August 2011.
It has very friendly staff, is very reasonably priced and was a great place to stay. Very close to the Havre des Pas swimming pool and across the road from the Thai Dicq Shack.
The best value place to stay in Jersey. Highly recommended.
