We have stayed here a lot, while visiting family nearby. Never had any issues with rooms, always spacious and clean. Some fixtures are a little dated but this is not a source of issue.
Our stays culminated with a stay in the suite for the night of our Civil marriage. The suite is enormous, plenty furniture, old style tv (a flat screen would be nice here), and the winner was the jacuzzi bath.
Breakfast is always a great meal, a full old fashioned Irish, not much on offer for a European continental breakfast but this does not affect me. Piub lunch is also a good hearty affair.
Staff have always been friendly curteous and chatty, and went above and beyond on occasion. (Night porter is a hero)
I do think the price could be reduced somewhat, averaging at 150euro for 2 nights can sting the wallet especially when they have a monopoly. Nevertheless I have no hesitation giving it a thumbs up.
